| Description: | This is a tough festival to play if you're not in favour with the audience. It has a history of many bands being bottled off stage and the fans are a fickle lot. It is a behemoth rock festival and it is twinned with the Leeds Festival.
The same acts play but over different days. The crowd loves a pint or ten and there is a lot of love shown for the acts that cut the mustard. Reading is the bigger site but less scenic than Leeds.
Make no mistake, this is stadium stuff with vast arenas filled with ardent fans. Tickets sell very quickly as the emphasis is on BIG names. There is a dance area for electronic music lovers and an Alternative Stage. |
