| Description: | Started in the late 60s and exploded into the biggest 'happening' the UK has ever seen. Re-emerged in 2002 and hosts big acts of all types of music.
Doesn't quite hit the 600,000 that decended back in the day, but still a huge gathering for some big names.
There's a small dance area for ravers, a big top for indoor gigs and a main stage that has hosted some mega acts.
It is primarily a music event and most the budget goes towards booking the biggest names possible.
Head across the Solent if you like it BIG and loud. |
