| Description: | Deep in the sleepy Ribble Valley nestled cosily behind the shadow of stunning Pendal Hill, something magical is stirring... The hills are alive with the sound of twinkling synths and a bass line wobbles beneath the pine trees. Festival land’s best kept secret, the amazing Beat Herder is stretching out her loving arms for an amazing fourth year to snuggle families and ravers alike into her fine northern bosom for three days of unrivalled beats and barminess!
The afternoons at Beat Herder are spent drifting between stages, checking out the vast array of delightful stalls and world food before getting on all fours and crawling through granddads tunnel to find the treat that awaits at the end. Get spiritual up at the stone circle or simply relax with a massage and then get creative at one of the many workshops around the site. Pop along to the Working Men’s Club and show them what you’ve got in the BeatHerder’s got talent contest or wander amongst the toil trees discovering installations and treats along the way.
The evening is when the real Beat-Herder magic comes forth, the homemade lights and art installations come to life, the beats rise from the trees and a whole host of international and national bands and dj’s take to the seven stages across site. There really is something for everyone at Beat-Herder, from brass bands to psy trance, and drum and bass to folk stopping off for some bingo and a pint of real ale in between. |
