Description:Bestival is an award winning 3 day boutique music festival set at Robin Hill - a beautiful leafy country park (a veritable Garden of Eden!) near Downend and Newport in the heart of the Isle of Wight.

The wonderful world of Bestival was born out of ten fun years of pioneering music events and record releases from Rob da Bank's Sunday Best empire. The BBC Radio 1 leftfield DJ had a dream to one day create his vision of how the modern day festival should be. Along with Creative Director and wife Josie da Bank and co founders / partners John and Ziggy from Get Involved that dream is now fulfilled. On a mission to change the face of independent festival culture, the fearless foursome are bringing some magic to the shores of the Solent and spreading the love worldwide.

It's Rob and Josie da Bank's creative vision that sets Bestival apart. Whilst the massive musical brain of Rob ensures the Bestival line-up is the most eclectic you'll ever experience, it's Josie's creative wand that casts its magic over Bestival land. From the most original boutique campsite experience, to the Bollywood Cocktail Bar, fancy dress en mass and even a Hidden Disco, it's this uniqueness that makes Bestival a wondrous world of discovery and adventure that will inspire peace, love and dancing not only in September but all year round...

The Theme of this years festivals was Out of Space.

MARK KNIGHT TOOLROOM KNIGHTS ALBUM LAUNCH @ MINISTRY OF SOUND 23RD MAY
A marathon seven hour set courtesy of Mark Knight is the order of May’s Toolroom Knights at Ministry of Sound, as the powerhouse behind the ever popular label takes over the Box all night long to celebrate the launch of his Toolroom Knights mix album and entertain us on this bank holiday weekend. Fully loaded with special edits, exclusives and an array of DJ tools, expect a musical journey that’ll satisfy the needs of all, spanning the full spectrum of house from deep to driving, tribal to techno. Over in the Bar, providing an alternative to Mark’s compelling magic are Toolroom's 'Leaders Of The New School' with hotly tipped Italian producer EDX, Adam Shaw and Kim Fai. Boasted as ‘one of the biggest shooting stars’ in house music, EDX has gained nothing but respect and recognition. With an army of support from house legends, he has produced remixes for Armin Van Buuren, SIKK and Deadmau5 - to name but a few. Smashing up dance floors worldwide, with his numerous hits including Axwell & Bob Sinclair’s ‘What a wonderful world’- the man with the magic fingers will be making his long awaited UK debut. Expect to be transported into a musical frenzy with nothing but effortless crowd pleasing for this premier performance. Adam Shaw plays the perfect partner, keeping the crowd in line with his whirlwind sets bringing the very best of the house genre. Last but by no means least; Kim Fai will be destroying the dance floor with his ‘twisted techy bangers’ that have earned him respect from long-standing industry favourites. After causing a whirlwind on DJ playlists and smashing up Miami, this talented individual has the music world at his feet. And with no work Monday it's the perfect excuse to party til late with the Toolroom Knights.
